Video Notes:

Get $10 off your first Paula's Choice order:
This is my PC refer-a-friend link, part of their referral program this is open to everyone! This is not an affiliate program, and I am not affiliated with nor do I receive payment from Paula's Choice.

Video Notes:

Re: "Using retinol in cycles", I am specifically referring to high strength retinols and tretinoin, not your average OTC moisturizer "with retinol", or a low strength retinol serum. If you are using a retinol product that is not producing dramatic results, I am most likely not talking about your product.

Here are some resources to help with #10: -- Searchable database with safety and comedogenicity ratings. -- Paula's Choice database. I don't agree with her on everything, but she has particularly compelling arguments against alcohol and many useless botanical ingredients. -- A must read for anyone not convinced about the damaging effects of (bad) alcohol on the skin. -- Decent mainstream article about glycation and AGEs.

Articles about parabens:
- -- fantastic piece by makeup artist Kevin James Bennett. Sums up my feelings on the subject exactly.
- -- Dr. Andrew Weil's stance on parabens.
- -- Can rumors cause cancer?

I do not give personalized recommendations in video comments or answer private messages. It is just not feasible for me to do so. I will try my best to answer questions in future videos, in facebook notes or (whenever I get around to it) in blog posts, but I regret that it is not possible to answer thousands of questions individually.

Please check my back catalog of videos and facebook notes--there is a lot of information in each!

Hi, I'm Veronica! This is my 10th anniversary of becoming an esthetician, and I'm happy to share the wisdom that I've gathered over the years with all of you. My resume includes practicing in a famous LA plastic surgery center's medical spa, a five-star hotel and two of the most famous waxing institutions in Beverly Hills. My skin care philosophy may be a bit different than a lot of what you hear about on the internet, but it's based on many years of professional and personal experience and study.

If anything that I say is helpful to you, I would sincerely appreciate if you take a moment to share my videos!

Thank you, xo
