DIY Scalp Scrub – Natural Hair and Skin Care

DIY Scalp Scrub - Natural Hair and Skin Care

Hi YouTube! Today I have another DIY recipe and this one is for your scalp. Having a healthy scalp is the best start to having healthy hair since this is where it all starts right? Scalp scrubs have different effects depending on the ingredients you use however in general they are: great at exfoliating the scalp, removing buildup, fighting dandruff, encouraging new skin regeneration, cutting down on light scalp irritations (depending on ingredients used) and much more!

BUT PLEASE BE GENTLE AND MAKE SURE YOU MAKE IT RUNNY ENOUGH FOR IT NOT TO BE ROUGH!

My scalp scrub is made to help exfoliate, clean the scalp, remove buildup, condition the scalp and roots, moisturize the scalp and stimulate blood flow which helps to stimulate hair growth. (Yes all in one)

While all of the above sounds amazing you do not want to over exfoliate your scalp because this can cause more harm than good. You want to give your scalp time to regenerate. So I would say you should use a scrub no more than once every 2 weeks.

Video Part 1: I explain each ingredient and why I use them (this includes core and optional ingredients)
Video Part 2: Mixing my scrub along with measurements of each ingredient

I hope you enjoy the video!

Ingredients used:
* 8 teaspoons of Raw Sugarcane sugar (first lightly blended)
* 10 teaspoons of Pure Honey (use less for a drier scrub)
* 2 teaspoons Amla Powder (optional)
* 2.5 teaspoons of Almond Oil (or other light oil of choice)
*4 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil (optional - oil of choice)

AGAIN PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE GENTLE AND MAKE SURE YOU MAKE IT RUNNY ENOUGH FOR IT NOT TO BE ROUGH!
