Today, we're going to talk about aging!
What is Aging? In the book, Mike and Catherine broke it down into AGEs. AGEs cause a number of illnesses and diseases. These are the harmful elements that are responsible to diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and a bunch of other diseases.
So what are AGEs?
AGEs are Advanced Glycation End-Products. These are being formed when sugar combines with proteins without enzymes. It's that little sticky and nasty creatures getting inside bodies with us having little to no abilities of getting rid of them. They cause the aging process to happen much more faster.
The question now is, "What are we going to do?"
The answer to that is to adopt a diet that's high in minimizing these AGE's effects. Here, we';re going to give you 3 steps in order to that.
# 1 Avoid Sugar
Sugar is essentially a neurotoxin. The more sugar that you have, the more drive will there be for your taste buds to crave for more, causing the AGE process to happen much quicker.
# 2 Avoid Grains
Apparently, we don't know how these are being prepared and handled. And unfortunately, the grains that we consume today are not the right types that we're supposed to be eating. Furthermore, it accelerates the AGE process. It's hard on our digestion and it can potentially have gluten, which is very dangerous for people with celiac disease.
# 3 Cook Meals at a Lower Temperature
Eating vegetables that are boiled, steamed or even fresh like a vegan diet poses tremendous amounts of benefits as well.
Avoid brown, roasted, grilled, caramelized foods altogether. Avoid foods with coloring in it. These are the kinds that went different extractions that they put into your food that are not being found in the food label.
And now that we've tackled what NOT to do, let's talk about what CAN we do to help minimize the effects of these AGEs.

Red Bell Peppers - a very great anti-inflammatory food
